Botanical Tour of the Kalani Estate

                       

Toured around the sprawling gardens today, which included a solar powered agro-ponics system which mixes fish into a hydroponics setup that apparently increases the growing speed and output even more than the acceleration trick of hydoponics alone.

The Coquí Frogs are Singing Hard Tonight

They're recent arrivals to Hawaii, have no natural predators (which is never good) and they sing like strange exotic birds...all night. They've also eaten all the centipedes apparently.

It's quite a pleasant bird like frog-call sound. What are they singing? "Dream Phil, Dream Phil, Dream Phil".
